Job Description

This is a superb opportunity for an experienced F&B Supervisor to join a fantastic company and team. Your role as an F&B Supervisor will be to proactively develop, lead and manage food and beverage service delivery to ensure that a consistently high quality of service is provided to clients.

Your duties will include but not be limited to the following:

  • To assist the Food and Beverage Manager in the organisation & delivery of catering facilities for Hotel, conference, wedding & function clients.
  • Supervise and manage the Food and beverage services team.
  • Control direct operating costs, including payroll, for food and beverage services.
  • Identify any potential new business leads to the Operations manager and Sales & Marketing team.
  • Meet and liaise with clients to ensure they receive the best advice on services & products whilst optimising all sales opportunities.
  • Develop new areas of business through forming long term relationships with existing and new clients to ensure continual custom.
  • Conduct regular informal and formal staff appraisals to identify, actively encourage and support development opportunities amongst the team.

The Successful Applicant:

The successful candidate will be enthusiastic, organised and have previous experience at managerial level in a 3 or 4 star establishment. They will also meet the following criteria:

  • Degree level or equivalent vocational qualification in Hotel and Catering
  • Ideally basic Food Hygiene certificate and Licencees Certificate
  • Numerate, literate and flexible
  • Ability to train / coach staff
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to prioritise, organise and delegate
  • Commercial awareness
  • Ideally an understanding of Health and Safety, Food Hygiene and Licensing legislation
